£2,500 to The Little Princess Trust

£2,500 to The Little Princess Trust

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people, who have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other conditions.

Michael Power, Past Sovereign of Buckinghamshire Conclave No.469 of Thames Division, donated his hair to The Little Princess Trust and set up an account to raise £1,245. Jim Mulligan, Intendant-General for the West Midlands Division and Alan Baverstock, Intendant-General for the Thames Division made a joint application to the Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund for the Trust.

£2,500 was presented to the Relationships Manager - Kim Musson by Jim Mulligan and his Deputy, Anthony Cheesman.

An award of £2,500 made to Scarborough Sea Cadets

An award of £2,500 made to Scarborough Sea Cadets

The Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund and the Mark Benevolent Fund joined forces to supply a brand-new 5.3m Humber Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) (£25,000) and trailer (£2,500) to the Scarborough Sea Cadets providing a vital addition to the fleet that will enhance both safety and on-water training for their young people.

The new craft will play a key role in helping cadets gain nationally recognised boating qualifications and develop lifelong skills. The presentation was at the Scarborough Sea Cadets Boat Station, with representatives from the Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund – Intendant-General Willie Gray and from the Mark Benevolent Fund, Provincial Grand Master Bob Clancey, both representing North & East Yorkshire. It was a fantastic moment of community support and celebration.

Scotswood Garden Receives £2,500 from Northumberland

 
The mission of Scotswood Garden is to inspire and promote learning about nature, the environment and sustainable living, whilst having a positive impact on people’s health & wellbeing. The 3 acre community garden and designated Local Wildlife Site is stunning and boasts a woodland, 3 wildlife ponds, 2 meadows, one of the oldest Forest Gardens in England, a kitchen garden, beehives, an accessible growing space and 2 Forest School areas.
Scotswood Garden Dev Mgr was delighted to receive a cheque for £2,500 which will fund weekly Nature Ranger sessions for 6-9yr olds.
