On Thursday, 12 June, R.W.Bro. Brian Percival Gargett, Prov.G.M. for Gloucestershire & Herefordshire, accompanied by a number of Grand Officers and newly appointed Provincial officers attended The Kyrle Mark Lodge, No. 1349 in Ross-on-Wye, to present a fifty-year certificate to W.Bro. Peter James Wiles, P.G.Std.B.
The Kyrle Lodge had changed the date of its June meeting by dispensation so that it occurred fifty years to the day after Peter’s advancement on 12 June 1975.
The Prov.G.M. took the opportunity to remind the Brethren present of some of the events of 1975. He complimented Peter on a very full and distinguished journey in the Mark degree over the fifty years.
He then had much pleasure in presenting the Certificate to W.Bro. Peter who made a most courteous and heartfelt response to the assembled group.
