First charity donation of the year from Cheshire & North Wales O.S.M.

What a delight to visit Llay, Wrexham earlier this week and present a cheque to Your Space (Marches) to help with their work supporting children, young people and their families with Autistic Spectrum conditions. The charity was started 12 years ago by their enthusiastic Founder, Rachel Hancocks, who has a lifetime of experience dealing with children and adults with similar conditions. Rachel’s primary role within the charity is seeking out and bidding for grant funding. The charity receives no core funding, so has to bid for everything they need. Rachel is joined in her enthusiasm by Charlotte Roberts, the Fundraising Manager, who liaises with other sources and organises events to raise more vital funding for the charity. Not being tied to any one funding source means that the charity can be unrestricted in the events and target market, providing respite for families and allowing families to join in and share activities with their children. A truly worthwhile cause. Pictured above is Rachel receiving a cheque from Right Worthy Brother Tony Stringer, the Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, and presenting a certificate in return. Of course, it was also vital that we had a photograph of Charlotte, who is accompanied by her aptly named son, Archer!
