An award of £2,500 made to Scarborough Sea Cadets

The Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund and the Mark Benevolent Fund joined forces to supply a brand-new 5.3m Humber Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) (£25,000) and trailer (£2,500) to the Scarborough Sea Cadets providing a vital addition to the fleet that will enhance both safety and on-water training for their young people.

The new craft will play a key role in helping cadets gain nationally recognised boating qualifications and develop lifelong skills. The presentation was at the Scarborough Sea Cadets Boat Station, with representatives from the Grand Sovereign’s Care for Children Fund – Intendant-General Willie Gray and from the Mark Benevolent Fund, Provincial Grand Master Bob Clancey, both representing North & East Yorkshire. It was a fantastic moment of community support and celebration.
